Created in 2014, the Dinosaur game was released to the public in September of the same year. Available on all platforms, it became an instant hit. Although there were a few glitches during the initial release, it was finally fixed in December 2014 when the updated code was released.
Dinosaur Game was made by a team of developers from Google that included Alan Bettes, Sebastian Gabriel, and Edward Jung. Jung is a design engineer, Sebastian Gabriel is a Senior Staff Designer, and Alan Bettes is a UX Designer.
In the original game, the only obstacle was the cacti. In 2015, the pterodactyls were added. When the game turned 4 years old, the birthday cake, balloons, and hat were added. Furthermore, in March 2021, the Easter egg and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games widget were added.
Aside from the minimal tweaks and updates, the game has largely remained the same since its original release.
